Step 2:
Choose Your Model

Decide on a YES model that aligns with your strategy. With YES, businesses can host youth internally or sponsor placements externally through our Implementation Partner Model delivering both measurable impact and future-facing skills.

Option 1: Internal Placement Model

Place YES Youth within your organisation for 12 months. You manage recruitment and daily support, while YES tracks progress, engages youth regularly, and delivers digital skills modules to enhance their growth and contribution.

If you choose this model, your organisation will handle all recruitment and internal programme structure. Before signing any contracts, please make sure the youth you’re placing meet these requirements. They must:

  • Be between 18 and 35 years old
  • Be Black, as defined by the B-BBEE Act
  • Be unemployed when the contract starts
  • Not have participated in the YES programme before

Only youth who meet all these criteria can be part of YES

Option 2: YES Implementation Partner Model

The YES Implementation Partner Model is a turnkey solution that lets businesses sponsor youth who are placed in vetted third-party enterprises in future-facing sectors. Our Implementation Partners manage recruitment, placement, and payroll—YES oversees the work experience to ensure quality, structure, and long-term value. You can find out more about the YES Implementation Partner Model and how we’re transforming key sectors for growth (button to page)

Option 3: Hybrid

Organisations can combine our Internal Placement and Implementation Partner models for maximum impact

Step 3:
Work Out Your YES Fees and Register Your Programme

When you join YES, you'll be required to pay three fees: a registration fee, a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) fee, and the YES Youth salaries, which are in line with the current minimum wage. These fees differ according to a company’s turnover, NPAT and Yes Youth target.  Use this handy fees drop down to determine what you’ll pay.

Registration + M&E fee total:

Once you’ve paid your fees, register your details on the company portal and follow the instructions provided.

The following benefits are included in your YES fees:
