The Youth Employment Service (YES) is South Africa’s highest-impact 12-month youth employment programme, driving broad-based change across sectors, provinces, and
the country. As a private sector-led initiative, YES empowers businesses to create
meaningful jobs for unemployed youth, fostering long-term employment, entrepreneurship,
and economic growth.

YES is not reliant on government funding—our jobs are 100% private sector funded, with over 1,800 companies contributing to a sustainable solution for youth unemployment. Since inception, we have injected billions into the economy through youth salaries, with 45% of our YES Youth alumni currently employed.
